Art in the Woods

art in the woods
A long time ago, I can't even remember exactly what year it was, I collaborated with my friend Eileen Ward on this outdoor installation.

We both made a car-load of furry blue balls of various sizes, and with our husbands' help, decorated a cluster of trees. It was in the woods near Duvall, Washington, and part of a big outdoor art and music festival.

I have this fantasy that all of the balls have stayed perfectly in place and are now covered in inch-thick moss. Maybe a few bits of blue fur got picked off by birds, then worked into their nests in the surrounding trees.

I would love to return to this spot and see what remains.

Tacoma is for Lovers

Tomorrow (April 26th) from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM , I'll be setting up shop at the Tacoma is for Lovers artist craft sale at the Blackwater Cafe. I'll be selling my crafty things and kitty cards too.

There are lots of great vendors participating, so please come on by. My fingers are crossed for a beautiful day.

Hope to see you there!

The Weekly Volcano did a little write-up on the sale. Pick up a copy or visit their website to see a list of all the participating artists and crafty folks.

Flutter Bye!

Rizzo the shopcat at Flutter, PDX

Thanks to all who stopped by Flutter this past Saturday. It was a pleasure to meet all of you! A HUGE thanks goes to Cindy (dear friend and Flutter's proprietress) who worked so hard to make it all happen.
I left a few corsages and bouttonieres at Flutter, so if you couldn't make it to the show on Saturday, you can still pick up a piece.

I'm packing up the goods, and heading down to Portland today. I've got oodles of new things to share, please swing by Flutter and say hello.

Saturday, April 4th from 11 AM to 6 PM
