Housecrafts

I made the scalloped "valance" using flocked paper from The Paper Zone. The chenille dot trim on top was a find from a trip to Spain, many years ago. The lanterns are made from vintage wallpaper and scrapbooking papers.


I used the same flocked paper to trim the front door. I cut the paper to size, then cut a small circle where the peep hole is. I glued a small crocheted circle around the hole, to finish it off.

How To Gift Wrap a Tree

Craig celebrated his birthday this weekend. This year, I decided to give him a tree. I wanted him to pick it out, so I made a tiny gift certificate and incorporated it into a collage encased in a box.

I am tempted to pick these apart and make them into new things. I will leave them alone for now and admire these little beauties as-is.

Poppytalk Handmade

Starting Monday April 14th, I'll have a "table" at the online Poppytalk Handmade Market. Featured, wil be a mix of corsages, with "Mothers' Day" in mind.

Poppytalk Handmade is a curated monthly online street market showcasing handmade work by artists and designers from around the world. There will be lots of interesting crafty folks selling their goods, so please stop by for a visit.

I've got a big batch of paper fancies going up on etsy today. I'll be a featured seller on Popptalk Handmade starting next Monday, so I'll be busy this week getting my shop nice and full.

A Flea Market Find

I scored oodles of vintage flower stamens today at the Sand Point Flea Market. I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I was to find these beauties.

Process

A roll of paper becomes a pile of petals, then a handful of flowers. The blooms are dipped in wax and wait to be assembled into a corsage, bouttoniere or bouquet.
